Add a PDF layer

With Form Designer, you can create a "PDF layer". A PDF layer is a layer feature added in Adobe Reader 6.0. The PDF layer has four features: Edit layer name, Show, Lock Show/Hide setting, and Print. When a form is output from a PDF printer using a form file with PDF layers, you can configure settings such as display and printing for each layer in Adobe Reader.

This section describes the procedure for creating a PDF layer using the layer feature.

Caution

Check the precautions before using the layer feature. For precautions, see "Precautions when using the layer feature".

Procedure

  1. In the By layer tab in Navigator, right-click and select Add layer from the menu that appears.

Adds a new layer. The newly created layer is called a "user layer". You can add up to 48 new layers.
