Chapter 1. Overview of SVF Cloud Designer
SVF Cloud Designer is a "form layout creation tool" that acts as the role of designing forms in SVF Cloud products. Because the UI is optimized for form design, it significantly reduces the amount of programming required, making form maintenance more efficient both at the time of installation and during operation.
To use this product, you must install SVF Cloud Designer Client on the client PC.
From the SVF Cloud Designer Client, you can access resources on the SVF Cloud and create designs for forms. The form design you create is saved on SVF Cloud as an XML form file. Form design data does not remain on the client PC.
The "print engine" combines resources such as XML form files and image files with data from user applications and cloud services to output forms to a printer or various files.

"SVF Cloud Manager" is used to launch the form layout creation tool, manage resources such as XML form files and image files, and configure the operation of the print engine.
Form layout, form definition, and form are synonymous.

You can freely create form layouts by intuitive operations. Fields, static texts, ruled lines, and shapes can be created and edited. Because you can easily place text according to horizontal and vertical inch pitch guidelines, you can create form layouts that meet a wide variety of needs.

You can also create forms from templates, instead of from scratch.
Design fields using navigation
Calculation-formulas, edit-formulas and attribute-formulas can be set in fields, which are areas to which data is output. You can define these formulas in a simple and accurate manner following the Input Assistant.
Form design parts
Instead of designing a form by yourself, form components, such as headers, body text and footers, can be created by two or more team members as separate XML form files and merged to output a single form.
This feature saves the time it takes to design forms, because a form can be designed by a team, or common design components can be used in different forms.
Centralized management of forms and peripheral files
The forms designed with SVF Cloud Designer are managed for each form definition. Files related to a designed form, including images and data used in test-printing, can be managed in a single form definition. In this way, SVF Web Designer allows centralized management of forms and related files.
SVF Configuration Tool
Forms designed with SVF Cloud Designer are output through the SVF output engine. You can configure the SVF output engine on Print Settings in SVF Cloud Manager.
SVF Cloud Designer includes SVF for PDF as an SVF output engine used for test-printing.
